(More customer reviews)How does this little gadget work? It's a mystery - about 1/3 cup of skim milk bursts into a sweet froth with 20 plunges. My favorite concoction is a before-bedtime (and apres-cross-country ski)concoction of hot cocoa, toppped with froth, sprinkled lightly with cinnamon and/or nutmeg. (For sweetener, I sometimes stir a thimble-full of Splenda into the froth.)
I like my coffee straight up - dark and black - but I've enjoyed a froth toppping now and then.
The inventors wisely include a long-handled sturdy plastic spoon. I understand that a metal spoon can chip or even crack the glass tube.
