(More customer reviews)I ordered four of these after searching - without success - for what used to be called a Motion Mug. These are essentially the same, a solid ceramic mug with a rubber, non-slip base, that will hold a decent amount of coffee or tea and won't spill unless actually tipped over.
I'd bought them specifically for my mother, who now uses a walker, so she could again enjoy coffee on the patio in the mornings without having to sacrifice the "feel" of real ceramic. Their sturdy, sensible design lets them "ride" on the seat of her walker without mishap, and no, she hasn't been using the accompanying lids.
This is not an insulated mug and should not be expected to perform as such. They are also not unbreakable, and would most certainly break if mistreated. Although it states they are dishwasher safe, I've been hand washing them so as not to risk loosening the rubber base, but that's just a personal quirk. They work brilliantly in a microwave, the handle never becoming overly hot.
They arrived very quickly, in perfect condition and the blue is a deep, rich cobalt blue, as described. I couldn't be more pleased and like another reviewer mentioned, I would replace them in a heartbeat if the need should arise.
