The pan is just the right size to fry bacon, it is very shiny stainless steel, and it has a heat spreader layer in the bottom that is fully enclosed in stainless steel ( so it won't mark a porcelain sink).
The bad:
The heat spreader layer is round, not square like the pan so the corners aren't as uniform temperature as the rest of the pan. The pan has small raised griddle pattern in the bottom that is harder to clean than a flat bottom would be. The pan does not come with a lid.
All in all, this is a pretty good pan to fry bacon or grill sausages in. It's not perfect because the heat spreader doesn't go out to the corners, and cleanup would be easier without the griddle pattern in the bottom. But it is all stainless on the inside and outside so you won't be eating any Teflon particles or have the pan mark your sink,
