(More customer reviews)i have an older plate but the black is starting to come off...this new one isn't as heavey as the old one but it works the same way.
i was told they weren't selling them anymore because people wern't cleaning them and there was a danger of bacteria.
i never thaw anything directly on the metal. i leave it in the bag it came in or put some saran wrap down. it does not slow the process...
