(More customer reviews)I loved the design of this little pitcher and bought 2 in late May. At just a liter, it was the perfect container to fresh brew sun tea for my husband and I each day, and to store in our refrigerator without taking up a lot of space.
Unfortunately, it took only one month until the first one broke after being 'tapped' by a glass near the handle. I didn't realize it was broken until after I made a full pitcher of tea and saw the newly brewed tea leaking out of the cracks surrounding the handle before the pitcher structurally failed broke apart.
This pitcher is made of tempered borosilicate glass: the same glass as test tubes in a laboratory are made from. But please be aware that this pitcher is also very thin and doesn't tolerate any mishandling...definitely not "durable" as stated in the Product Features area The fractured areas produced slivers of sharp glass and the broken pieces of glass were jagged and razor sharp due to the thinness of the glass. In my opinion, it is an entirely too fragile and too delicate pitcher for every day use, especially in any household with children.

Great for both hot and cold liquids. Holds 40 oz and stands 8.5 inches tall. Microwave and dishwasher safe. Made of durable borosilicate glass.
