If you find that the disposable puppy pads are too expensive, try the washable flat quilted Waterproof Crib and Toddler Bed Pad 27 x 50 - 2 Packpads that go in baby cribs. They come in several sizes and urine will not go through. I just dispose of the solid waste in my toilet and wash them together once a week.
