(More customer reviews)This is a beautiful, somewhat oversized tea cup (holds 8oz filled to a little below the brim). It is not bone china, so it is just slightly heavier than something like Lenox's Butterfly Meadow tea cups, but has a much nicer balance and lighter weight than a typical small porcelain mug. I would describe the color as close to pure white, with a slight grayish tint. I normally choose to buy my china/porcelain in a store so I can check for defects. I bought both a tea cup and saucer online from Amazon, and unfortunately both had minor defects. The saucer has a little ridge where there shouldn't be one, and the tea cup has a couple of little glaze bubbles inside. If they had been faultless pieces, I would have bought more; but I think I'll go back to picking out nicer pieces like these locally so I can ensure they don't have defects.
